A partnership with clear expectations
Families, carers and care organisers need a shared understanding of the tasks, timing and communication arrangements. These should be agreed before support starts. A change in needs calls for a review of the arrangements.
Discussing relevant experience
Experience should match the actual tasks involved. Communication, language skills and the conditions of the assignment also matter. We discuss these points in relation to the support being considered.
