You do not need all the answers
Tell us what has become more difficult, how the family currently helps and what you hope to change. A location, preferred start date and a short description of the help needed are enough for an initial conversation. Please do not send medical records in your first message.
Include your loved one
Where possible, involve the older person in the discussion. Their preferences and agreement matter. Support should make daily life easier while respecting their choices.
Before support begins
Tasks, availability, costs and the conditions of cooperation should be discussed before a decision. A clear contact person and a way to report changing needs help everyone understand the next steps.
When family members live elsewhere
Distance makes organised communication especially important. Agree who can receive information, what may be shared and through which channel. Personal details should only reach authorised people.
