Any task requiring specialist training or another person must be considered separately.<\/p>\n<h2>Companionship and activity<\/h2>\n<p>Conversation, reading, shared activities and walks can support everyday routines. Activities should reflect the person\u2019s interests, preferences and abilities. Transport and specialist appointments are not automatically included.<\/p>\n<h2>Help around the home<\/h2>\n<p>Simple meal preparation, agreed shopping and keeping the older person\u2019s living space tidy may form part of the arrangement. Food preferences, shopping expenses and the exact list of tasks should be agreed in advance. General cleaning or maintenance of the entire property is not assumed.<\/p>\n<h2>Organisation and communication<\/h2>\n<p>The scope, start date, contact people and arrangements for raising questions should be clear. New tasks or changes in timing require confirmation.
